Maltese Cross, Glide slope/Path intercept point

FINAL APPROACH FIX (FAF) — The fix from which the final approach (IFR) to an airport is executed and which identifies the beginning of the final approach segment.

It is designated in the profile view of Jeppesen Terminal charts by the Maltese Cross symbol for non-recision approaches and by the glide slope/path intercept point on precision approaches.

The glide slope/path symbol starts at the FAF. When ATC directs a lower-than-published Glide Slope/Path Intercept Altitude, it is the resultant actual point of the glide slope/path intercept.

 

FINAL APPROACH FIX(FAF) — 공항에 대한 최종 접근(IFR)이 실행되고 최종 접근 구간의 시작을 식별하는 것 입니다. Jeppesen Terminal 해도의 종단면도에서 비정밀 접근의 경우 Maltese Cross 기호로 지정되고 정밀 접근의 경우 활공 경사/경로 차단점으로 지정됩니다. 활공 경사/경로 기호는 FAF에서 시작합니다. ATC가 발표된 것보다 낮은 활공 경사/경로 차단 고도를 지시할 때, 이는 활공 경사/경로 차단의 결과적인 실제 지점입니다.
